EDLounge was created in 2009 as an inclusive resource to educate students that were in inclusion, exclusion, vulnerable, at risk, not attending classes (English and Maths especially), persistently absent, not doing homework, or those who were foundational, disengaged or demotivated.

On the 12th October 2012, EDLounge became an authorised BTEC centre which can ASSESS, MARK, VERIFY, QUALIFY and CERTIFY your students work. Your students can learn through EDLounge and gain any of our 140+ courses and qualifications through our assessment and e-portfolio (EDQuals)…. Where your students and your establishment now get the SUCCESS.
Through EDLounge your students can now gain online level 1 and 2 Foundation, Vocation and Next Generation BTEC (NQF) qualifications to Address the new headline measures to improve your KS4 Performance Results in 2013 / 14 and 2015.

OUR PROCESS
Our centre uniqueness enables us to offer the new NQF qualifications for your establishment's year 11s who follow the old QCF framework and for your new cohort of students who must follow the new NQF framework (from September 2013) for the headline measures in 2015.
We also offer qualifications in Work skills, Money and Finance, Jamie Oliver Home Cooking, PE, PSD, Media and S.E.P.E online (Section 96).
For each qualification students submit coursework online to us to assess and grade the work.
You have full transparency of the process and progress through EDLounge's tracking area. Our team of assessors do all the marking for you, whilst your school receives the success. Oh, and you get the funding too.
