EDLounge aims to:

Improve disengaged and NEET's students' knowledge and understanding within a range of subjects in a relaxed and enjoyable environment through interactive learning approaches.
Increase behaviour, motivation and attendance whilst promoting fun learning.
Gain foundation and vocational qualifications (EDEXCEL Workskills (Level 1 and 2) and *New* Money & Finance (Level 1 and 2) for foundation NEET's, problematic and disengaged students through a range of subjects.
Enable teaching staff to track, monitor and view graphical and theoretical data of student's progress in English, Maths and Science alongside functional skills, core and vocational subjects.
Reduce exclusions, lower persistent absences and enhance learning whilst enabling the students to have the ability of working independently. Time is then spent on their business and enterprise which they manage and run.
Provide a new and innovative approach to your Alternative and Foundation Curriculum, as you can now prepare your students for their Maths and English qualifications through our functional skills lessons and area.
EDLounge students can also receive ATTENDANCE grades whilst completing lessons, assessment files and coursework to gain qualifications!

When first logging into EDLounge students choose a character and an enterprise. The students start in a living room or 'lounge' environment where there are numerous actions they can take. Every aspect of Education Lounge has been designed by listening to 1,014 students during our pilot, alongside the vision of 3 headteachers.

On the 5th September, 2009 we launched EDLounge. We now have over 18,000 NEET's and problematic students in 200+ schools, PRU's, and organisations that are learning and gaining vocational qualifications (GCSE's) online. We now work closely with EDEXCEL Workskills so that students can now gain 1, 2, or 4 Full GCSEs at entry, level one and level two. Over recent months we have also introduced a new qualification, Money and Finance which also belongs to the workskills qualification area. Here, your students can gain a quarter or half a GCSE.
